North Lancashire Swimming League Round 3 – Saturday 18th June 2022
The third and final round of this years ‘North Lancs.’ swimming league was held at Palatine Pool in Blackpool.
The B team swim in Division 2 and this time it was their turn to travel to Blackpool on the first of two shuttle bus runs.
Swimming against four A teams and two other B teams Leyland B put on another good performance.

This was the final match of the and season saw father and daughter compete together for the first (but hopefully not the last) time. Lottie Williams was joined by her dad Lee who rumour has it has still not recovered! Both swam well and breaststroke must run in the family as both Lottie and Lee swam the individual 50 metre breaststroke races.
Another swimmer who probably needed a good rest afterwards was Jemima Buglass who swam a total of 6 races and gave it her all – even the butterfly – which she allegedly doesn’t like! Her dad probably needed some sweets for a sore throat by the end as well.
The match was the last for Natalia Lawton-Jimenez who will be moving to Spain this summer. Natalia swam well competing in the 50 metre individual backstroke and butterfly as well as two of the relay races. She will be missed by her team mates and coaches but we all wish her and her family the best of luck with their move.
After the three matches it was confirmed that the league had been won by Preston B with Leyland B in fourth place – a good result for the Leyland team with lots of personal best times.
Full details of the points awarded in each of the three matches is detailed below:
