Exciting development!
We are delighted to announce that we have launched the ‘Making a Difference Award’. This is a joint initiative with Leyland Rotary who have provided financial support to enable one of our poolside volunteers to gain their Level 1 qualification.
Impressed by the longstanding role our Club has had in our community providing competitive swimming opportunities to generations of young people for over 47 years, Rotary were particularly impressed by the role that volunteers play in making it all possible. So they are not just looking for any volunteer, they are looking for that volunteer who can demonstrate they understand the value of the role they will be undertaking, the impact they will have on the lives of our members and the benefits they personally will gain from being supported.
This is an exciting initiative that will help us maintain well qualified volunteers but also provide the successful individual with a qualification that can also be used professionally.
Applications are now open and we look forward to announcing our first ‘Rotary Volunteer’ in the coming weeks.
