Swim North West Recognition Awards
We enjoyed a lovely evening in Leigh at the Sports Village where SENW held their annual recognition awards. With a record number of nominations it was wonderful to find ourselves on the shortlist for two awards. Jess Holding for Young Volunteer of the Year Award and our club for Club of the Year. With awards presented by two local Olympians, Anna Hopkin and Luke Greenbank it was a special evening.
Jess took the Bronze award in the Young Volunteer category which was a fitting tribute to the contribution she makes right across our Club. Very well deserved.
With some strong competition in the Club of the Year award we were absolutely delighted and honoured to come away with the Gold Award. Something for us all to be so immensely proud of and the inspiration we need to keep progressing. As North West winners the Club will now go through to the Swim England National Awards event in early 2027.
