Bumper month for Barracudas

May has seen some amazing swimming from our members. We had 49 finalists at the Swim England North West regional age groups with 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze medalists. The Derby Excel meet saw our swimmers take 7 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze with Elsie Kay and Beth Adam taking ‘Top Female’ awards in their respective age groups.

Our League performances have also seen some great swimming. In the North Lancs League our ‘A’ Team finished 3rd and our ‘B’ Team 4th. The Micro League saw our ‘B’ team with a weakened squad managing to come in a very creditable 4th against other clubs’ ‘A’ teams. Our ‘A’ team romped home in 1st place and are 66 points ahead going into the final fixture. Simply fantastic swimming all round.
