Green Army put in great performance

Our Micro Team did themselves and the Club proud at the National Micro Inter-League Final in Corby, Northants on Sunday 26 November. Qualifying as winners of the North West Micro League they competed against City of Leeds; Chelsea & Westminster; Leamington Spa; Newcastle Swim Team; Nuneaton & Bedworth and Lincoln Vulcans.

There were a staggering amount of personal best times and three special swims from:

Caoimhe Ruscoe in 10 year old girls 50m Breaststroke

Elsie Kay in 11 year old girls 50m Butterfly

Athena Johnstone in 11 year old girls 50m Breaststroke

A fantastic team effort all round from swimmers, poolside team (Simon Welsby, Ste Davison, Steph Johnstone & Steven Allcock), our Officials (Shirley Russo, Ruth Owens & Catherine Bates) and our amazing spectators who were loud and proud. A truly memorable experience for everyone involved and a fantastic result to finish 6th in the country against some big city competition. Thanks once again to our t-shirt sponsors SW Motorsport, Leyland Rotary, Perfect Recruitment, S & SH Business Support, MyPet Physio & Hydro, Absolute Gas, Little Kickers & North West Refurb – the t-shirts really presented a great community effort.
