Fantastic Performances at Lancashire’s

Chief Coach, Gillian Rankin, was delighted with the performances over the three week-ends that made up the 2022 Lancashire County Championships which were held in Liverpool. [22-23 Jan; 29-30 Jan; 5-6 Feb]

With 131 entries our swimmers had to compete against athletes from 31 other clubs across the region, including the larger city squads of Wigan BEST, City of Salford, City of Manchester, Bolton Metro and Liverpool Penguins. With no spectators to build up the atmosphere it was all down to the swimmers and coaches and our performers didn’t disappoint. With a total medal haul of 28 made up of 8 Gold; 10 Silver & 10 Bronze and a further 57 improved personal best times it was a rewarding experience for all involved and a fantastic credit to the athletes and coaches. Not only did our swimmers bring home medals but collectively they gained 159 age points to put them in 9th overall place out of 32 clubs which reflects the strength in depth that we have as a Club.

Our total medal table looks as follows:
