Success at Lancs County Champs

An amazing team of 41 swimmers led the club to the Lancashire County Championships over weekends In January and February 2020 and they did not disappoint. We had swimmers who have attended County Championships before and for some, such as George Brady and Jemima Buglass, their first County Championships.  So nerves and trepidation at the start for all swimmers. 

Those competing did their club and town proud and put their heart and soul into representing themselves and Leyland.  Gill, commented that she was extremely proud of how all the children performed and cheered each other and showed great team spirit, in true Leyland Barracudas style.

Finalists in events were Ethan Roberts, Jack Hepplestone, Grace Lackie, Olivia Ballard, Tom Arkwright, Emily Wade, James Handford, Hannah Morris, Max Delaney, Amelie Elliott, Bradley Snaylam, Poppy Elliott.

Medallists were Ethan Roberts, Amelie Elliott, Tom Arkwright, Hannah Morris, Emily Wade, Rosie Linley, Jack Hepplestone, James Handford, Max Delaney, Bradley Snaylam.
