Wow! A wonderful Round 2

Head Coach, Ste Davison was delighted with the performances from our swimmers at round two of the Swim England North West Summer Regionals in Manchester this last week-end.

The strength in depth shone through and our spectators had plenty to cheer about as they witnessed 44 individual swims; 5 relay swims; 25 new personal best swims and 24 finalists. The team brought home 6 Gold; 1 Silver; and 2 Bronze medals and kept us in the top 4 in the overall club points table out of the 27 clubs taking part. Something everyone involved can be proud of – swimmers, parents, coaches and volunteers. A great team effort by all. Go Barracudas!

We had three relay teams in the Female 14-16 Medley relay event. Our C team smashing their entry time by 3.6 seconds to take 13th place; our B team putting in another great swim to finish in 10th and our A team absolutely smashing their entry time by 2.87 seconds to take the win and giving themselves a great chance of qualifying for this summer’s National relay event where they will be mixing it with the best teams in the country. Our 14-16 Male team gave it absolutely everything at the end of a very busy week-end to finish a very creditable 13th.
