Junior Sprint Gala Results 2022

Congratulations to all the swimmers taking part in the above gala at the week-end.

For some it was their first experience of competing and they did amazingly well. A special thanks also to all the volunteers who gave up their time to support the event – even when they didn’t have swimmers taking part. Whether they were gala officials, marshalls, announcer or organising the medals – every single person played a valuable role which meant we were able to run a licensed event and provide a much needed opportunity to our young members.

Two particular mentions go out. Firstly to our Young Aquatic Volunteers who did a great job supporting the event. It was wonderful to see our youngsters giving something back in such a tangible way, well done guys! The second mention is to Lisa Robinson and Jon Ward who overcame some unexpected technical challenges on the day to get the event up and running. Sorting out the technology is never the easiest job in the world, particularly when it isn’t playing ball. But when it is in the heat of the event with a busy pool and everyone itching to get going it is even more challenging. So a very well done to you and thank you!
